God is both “just” and “the justifier”

God is both “just” and “the justifier”, and is indicted by no one. Man, being made in the image of God has a sense of justice –to defend truth and righteousness. In our legal system, truth is vindicated and the wrong doer is consequently punished to the measure of the offense. So, depending on the offense, it will determine the measure of justice demonstrated to vindicate the offense. Granted, our legal system doesn’t execute perfect justice. As a result, the level of justification is often skewed and ends in injustice.
However, this isn’t the case with God. God executes everything perfectly, so His justice is no exception. In order for God to vindicate His name from the offense of man (His creation), whom He loved and desired to walk with, He had to provide a perfect sacrifice that would propitiate the full measure of His wrath, so God sent His son, Jesus Christ. Because of Christ’s perfect obedience to the law, for which he died, man is able to once again be at peace with God and walk with him through faith in His son, Jesus Christ. If you’re in Christ, you’ve been justified before God the father on account of the God the son, Jesus Christ.
