Have you experienced days where you felt like giving in or giving up?

Have you experienced days where you felt like giving in or giving up? Have situations seemed too difficult or beyond your ability? The truth is, we all have. We live in an exhaustively broken world that carries demands in which we were never meant to meet. The gospel news for today is that, "In Christ" our trials have tremendous purpose because they produce triumph. In other words, persevering through our trials makes us perfect n' complete[mature]. So, in the the spiritual sense, we lack nothing. Jesus Christ made reference to this reality in Lk. 21:12-19, that we would face great trials and tribulation for his sake, and due to the fact that we live in a world totally antithetical to God and his righteousness. However, that is precisely what God uses to mature[perfect]us. Paul said it nicely in 2 Thess 3:13, "do not grow weary in doing good" because the truth is; its hard to not become weary about our circumstances when we're fighting the good fight. However, we're called to count it all joy (Js. 1.2). This is the level of maturity that being sanctified produces. Like Paul said, “I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:12-13). In Christ we're maturing, being perfected, by God, through Christ.
