our story

We work diligently to provide the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27) by meeting people where they are, and with the help of the Holy Spirit - lead them to freedom (2 Cor. 3:17). This freedom produces life, which is in stark contrast to what sin produces- addiction, guilt, shame, anxiety, etc. We wholeheartedly believe people can experience the peace of God, which surpasses the weight of this world (Phil. 4:7). Our heart, through biblical counseling, is to foster an environment of truth, love, and peace; resulting in freedom and reconciliation with God, self, and others. Also, passion for one’s walk with Christ while growing into maturity (Col. 1:9-10, Col. 1:19-20, Col. 1:28). This maturity in Christ, is what empowers a person to stand firm in overcoming sin and suffering (Rom. 5:1-6, Rom. 8:16-18), as revealed by the Holy Spirit.

Jennie Brower
Biblical Counselor

My desire is to meet women where they are and share with them the hope and joy I have found in the Lord through my own personal trials. My hope is that as we walk through the scriptures together that you would fall in love with Jesus Christ and see that He is the only way for complete healing and freedom which we all seek. In my own struggles with co-dependency, addiction and anxiety I had a woman of great faith and wisdom disciple me and walk with me into freedom always pointing me back to the Christ. My hope is that I can share what was shared with me and speak life into your situation with God's Word and remind you of Whose you are and Who you are in Christ (Eph. 2:10). I pray that as Christ breaks chains, crushes lies and showers you with His mercies and grace that you would hear Gods calling on your life at the appropriate time. My prayer is that you would be confident in sharing your freedom and hope you've found in Him with others that are hurting.

Marsha Hines
Biblical Counselor

Life’s bumpy road—and God’s incredible redemption—led Marsha to women’s ministry leadership. Infused with a burden for abused or abandoned women and their children, she and Houston area leaders initiated a ministry called women in transition. This brought an awareness of imminent needs in prisons and the marketplace. Marsha chooses to mentor and disciple others using Biblical truths. (Isaiah 61:1-3)

Marsha is the widow of a disabled military veteran, an honorable man who loved God and family; the real deal. PTSD and depression began his 25-year physical decline. She was the primary provider those 25 years, managing people and projects. Corporate America was her active mission field. Husband Jim has been laughing, leaping, and praising God in heaven for eight years. (Isaiah 40:1, 28-31)

A broken child, Marsha was abandoned by dad at age nine. Result: an unforgiving spirit. As a mature adult, discipleship training taught forgiveness. A long distance discipleship study with her dad helped him make his decision to let Jesus lead his life! Marsha began prison ministry in 1995, obviously God’s preparation for work with dad’s second family (seven young adults). The oldest boy was in prison for drug abuse. The youngest boy was in jail for drunk driving. The youngest girl had drug issues. Sharing the hope of Jesus with these siblings affirmed their salvation. Dad died in 2000 and these three siblings died young. The youngest boy committed suicide. The other two had physical issues from long-term drug abuse; basically, they took their own lives. God's promise is that they are now eternal family!(Romans 8:38-39)

God wants to heal relationships—vertical and horizontal—and uses life’s trials for His purpose and our good. Jesus did not come to teach religion. Jesus came to teach life. This great-grandmother also chooses to share God’s amazing grace as a Biblical counselor, certified by the Association of Biblical Counselors. (Hebrews 13:20-21) (Ephesians1:17-23)

Carlie Blankenship
Biblical Counselor

Carlie is a certified Biblical Counselor by the Association of Biblical Counselors. She has a passion to help women, teenagers, and children know who Jesus is and who they are in Him by going through the Word. She strives to help others seek a true understanding of His goodness and faithfulness even in the midst of life’s most difficult trials (Psalm 86:15), His peace and joy even when our world turns upside down (John 16:33) and His perfect will for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Carlie is a pastor’s wife and has been married to her husband, Shaun, since 2017. They have been members at their church since 2019 where her husband is the associate pastor and Carlie serves on the worship team.
