EXPANDING CARE TO THE WORLD

ZIMBABWE, April 2024

For the second year from April 4-16, 2024, we will be joining a ministry to rural pastors and leaders that was started in 2011 between an American pastor and a Zimbabwean pastor for leadership development in the area of soul care. Additionally, we will have a group and one-on-one biblical counseling for caregivers working at a local orphan home. Zimbabwe is a country of great poverty, high unemployment, and economic instability. It is one of the poorest countries in the world. There are 1.2 million orphans comprising about 10% of the population due to the AIDS epidemic. The need for solid gospel-centered and stable homes for these orphans is vital for the future of Zimbabwe.

Additionally, there is a great need for the truths of the gospel, Scriptures, and a strong biblical theology to be taught, as the prosperity gospel is pervasive. Rural pastors and church leaders are especially hungry for teaching so they can lead their congregations well.

The Truth Renewed team will be teaching a general theology of biblical care and counseling in the established ministry's annual Bible conference, as well as providing biblical counseling to those in attendance. Additionally, we will be offering counseling and Bible study to the caregivers at Harvest Family Village, which houses orphans from all over Zimbabwe (https://mindthegapafrica.org/about/).

The estimated cost to send our team on the trip will be $5,000. Thank you for considering joining us in our desire to reach the church globally.
